I had been waiting to see Korn for a very long time, and when I heard they were coming to Tampa, I knew I had to go see them! Also, I liked Sevendust and Chevelle, so they played a part in my yearning.
I got off work a little early so I had time to get dressed and leave, because the Ford Amp is 45 mins away from where I live and I wanted to beat traffic....No such luck...We were stuck right in the middle of rush hour traffic. I was so angry because I didn't want to miss one single moment of what lay ahead.
But, unfortunatley, I did miss Instruction. I didn't really know who they were, but I really would have liked to see them. We arrived right as Sevendust was setting up and there were MASSIVE amounts of people there! Sevendust was AWESOME! They had lots of energy, they got everyone pumped up. Everyone was feeling them.
Then up was Chevelle. I am a really big fan of Chevelle. They put on a really good show, but not alot of people were feeling them. I was however. There was some people around me that were chanting for Korn, which I thought was really rude, so I just chanted "CHEVELLE!!" really loud to overpower them. HA HA Chevelle rocked out!
Now I was all pumped for Korn! I had never seen them live before, and everyone was excited and people were piling near the stage. I couldnt get near the stage though, because we had assigned seats and security wasn't allowing people to go to different sections of the venue for some reason, so that was a little disappointing, but, finally they came on and everyone was cheering soooo loud, i could barely hear myself think! Probably because I was yelling louder! Jon came on and started screaming the words to Bring it down and everyone there was headbanging, beating on the seats, yelling, thousands of metal horns were in the air, I was dancing and singing. There was soo much energy! Some people had to be taken out by stretchers!
And of course, Jon could not do without his bagpipes, which he started out playing before their big hit Chutes and Ladders. Everyone was loving that! He looked sooo great up there with those bagpipes!
Of course, every song that they did, everyone went crazy for, but, I think the song that go the craziest reaction was "Brick in the Wall" There were lighters as far as the eye could see, and of course, Jon came up on stage with a huge torch to get everyone to flick a bic.
So, that was it. That was the last song......they ran off stage and everyone started stomping their feet, banging seats, chanting "ONE MORE SONG!!!" Who could resist?! They ran back on stage "You want another fucking song!?!?" Screamed Jon, everyone screamed in delight! So what other song was there to do than none other than "Ya'll want a single" OH MY GOD! There were people everywhere screaming and chanting the words yelling "FUCK YEA" and Holding up middle fingers all over the stadium. I was in shock. Korn definatly tops my list of best concerts. I would definatly recommend checking them out when they come to your town! You'll be in for some major headbangin'!!!! \m/^\m/
