A co-headlining tour of Journey and Def Leppard shocked many people. Both of these bands are easily able to fill a venue to capacity without another big name on the bill.

The sound during Journey's set seemed to be a little off. Maybe it was a mechanical issue or partly due to the problems Steve was having with his vocals (Hey! We all get sick!) but the performance didn't seem to have the same energy and rock sound as previous tours. Despite the sound lacking something the band held it together and made for an awesome concert.

Ross seems to be the comic relief during a rock concert which is a pretty strange combination. He constantly makes faces at the crowd or squirts them with water. I wonder is it a little show for the crowd or more for his own amusement. Regardless, it is great to see him having fun on stage while the fans are having a blast in the stands.

Neal Schon is one of the most raved about guitar players. As expected he was amazing. When Neal plays a solo he captivates everyone in earshot's attention.

Journey's set was shorter than most fans would have liked. An 80 minute set just doesn't seem to do Journey justice, especially after their last tour spoiling the fans with 3 hours of Journey music! This isn't a tour you want to miss and if you live in the CT area and did miss it - you have a second chance to catch it. Journey and Def Leppard will be back rocking at the Mohegan Sun Arena on September 19th.
