The Avenged Sevenfold show sold out weeks prior to the actual night at the Webster Theatre in Hartford, CT. Many times before A7x even graced the stage with their presence chants of “Sevenfold!” broke out. Throughout the crowd you could hear screams of being squished, uncomfortable and even cries of “I’m going to pass out!” The Webster Theatre was at maximum capacity and security was ready for the crowd. Wood planks were placed between the barricade and the stage to ensure the barricade didn’t move forward from all the pressure.

As Avenged Sevenfold came out onto the stage the crowd was feral. They opened their set with “Chapter Four” off their sophomore album Waking the Fallen. There was a great mix of songs from their most recent album as well as previous ones. The set included “Bat Country”, “Beast and The Harlot” and “Burn it Down” from City of Evil, and “Chapter Four”, “Unholy Confessions” and “I Won’t See You Tonight (Part I)” off Waking the Fallen. Avenged Sevenfold also pulled off an awesome cover of “Walk” by Pantera and an instrumental cover of “Paradise City” by Guns N Roses.

The entire set was dynamite and the crowd loved every second of it. Whoever started the rumor that M. Shadows couldn’t scream as he did in previous albums was obviously wrong. This is definitely a band you don’t want to miss!
