The Black Maria is a amazing version of what most emo/rock bands wish they could be: A band that writes good tunes and has a singer that can REALLY sing them. This CD ”lead us to reason” taken apart song-by-song is just ok but put together as a whole the album is sweet from start to finish. I don’t feel like extolling the band member’s ex-bands or what they did in them. This is their future lets stick to this.

The Black Maria has a keyboardist and throughout the CD the piano lends an ambiance to all the tracks. “The lines we cross” is a great ballad placed midway through the CD. The first track “The memento” is also a great song as well. “Ash” is another great ballad on the CD.

The rest of the CD rocks out some songs slower then others and some that will rock you out. This CD will gain huge amounts of recognition as The Black Maria tours the US. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
