It is awesome to watch a local band from your area grow and get a record deal. Strength In Numbers is one of those bands from a double singer duo that started in the rap metal genre (i know it sounds bad) and grew heavier and better. The growth this band has gone through is showcased with their debut record on Ironbound called The Veil.
Strength In Numbers has grown so much from the local bar show to the mainstream venues today. One thing they didn’t lose was the amazing musicianship and the great dual vocals. Unfortunately, due to the ever increasing number of bands in this genre many people who will probably love this album will skip over it. Skipping over this record will be a HUGE MISTAKE!!!
The Veil doesn’t have any songs that go on for too long. This isn’t a metalcore record per say it’s METAL and the only other band out there now that listeners might draw a relationship to is 3 Inches of Blood.
"Gods of War" is a great opening song to this record and it kick starts it all. "Momentum" is another great song. One would think a record from a fairly new band would end on a weak note, but this one leaves the listener wanting more. "Houdini", the last track, leaves you wondering what trick they might pull out for their next record.
The Strength In Numbers crew are here for the long haul. No longer will they be just in Jersey, now they will be everywhere. This is an awesome record and they truly deliver the goods.
