Shortie's debut is pretty damn good. It does not try to re-invent a genre just make it sound better. This band isn’t extremely heavy but they aren’t light either. Shortie is heavy on the melodies and are reminiscent of bands like Hoobastank and lostprophets. They are out touring now and I cannot wait to see them. They are one of the new up and coming artists that will probably spike the aforementioned bands back into shape and if not they are destined to take of hold of the modern rock ball and run with it.
