Picking up right were they left off with “The Art of Balance”, Shadows Fall bring another Metal masterpiece to the table with “The War Within”. Not much has changed in the sound and basic approach of the songs aside from the fact that everything on this album has a much more polished sound to it, and it tends to be a more aggressive metal album yet somehow much more melody driven all at the same time. No words are feeling fitting enough to describe the intensity this album brings forth. If you are only going to be buying one metal album this year this better be damn close to the top of your list.
