Time for my second review and I think as I get back into the swing of things. The Resident Evil: Apocalypse soundtrack is the second in my new resume of reviews. This album has to be the best compilations out there today. This is a more straightforward version of what they were trying to go for on Headbanger’s Ball.
The first single off this album is Killswitch Engage’s “The End of Heartache” which is also off the new Killswitch album of the same name. This song kicks ass, if you already own the KSE album you should go out and buy the Resident Evil album too just because it appears here. Slipknot also return on the soundtrack after having “My Plague” on the original soundtrack to resident evil, they return with “Vermilion” which starts this soundtrack off eerily.
Some other songs of note are the new the used song called “Just a Little”. It is all of what The Used to do well mixing their screams with their melodies and singing, although it is weak at some points fans will enjoy. The new Cradle of Filth song “Nymphetamine” is a good tease of what is to come off the album of the same name. The new Rammstein and DevilDriver songs are both good.
This album has some great songs by thrice, 36 Crazyfist, a Cold acoustic track as well as many others. If you are looking for a good compilation to buy this is it. Run now before the dead eat you.
