Punk Goes 80's
Reviewed by: Lena Rybak

“…Girls they want to have fun, Oh girls just want to have FUN!” Has this ever happened to you? You’re caught singing that oh so catchy tune of the 80’s a little too loud (just a little guilty pleasure you have) but you don’t want to lose your rep. so you change to a different station or turn down the volume. Well fear no more because the one and only Fearless Records have got a solution. I bring you, PUNK GOES 80’S! You must be some freakin’ genius to come up with such an idea!

Punk goes 80’s combines the catchy tunes of the 80’s with a twist of the punk of today. Upon purchasing this album, you will not only receive major rep. points from all the cool kids at school but you’ll still be able to enjoy those hits you may know but certainly love.

You’ll get such classics as “Manic Monday” once sung by The Bangles and covered by Relient K, “I Ran” once a hit by A Flock of Seagulls and now a hit by Hidden in Plain View, Bonnie Tyler’s “Holding Out for a Hero” performed by Emery and 12 more hits from the 80’s as sung by the artists of today.

This cd is filled with hours of fun and its got all the punk bands you love singing all of your favorite 80’s hits. I’d definitely recommend this cd to almost anyone because it’s just FUN! I was born towards the end of the 80’s and I love this cd. And even if you don’t know any of the song on the cd (which I’m sure is a lie), just get it for your favorite band. What’s not to love about the 80’s? I love the 80’s!
