Megadeth is back with a vengeance and Dave has brought back his political bite with it. The new Megadeth album, “The System Has Failed” is filled with hyper intense riffing lyrics and spoken words/media reports; it is a sensory overload CD. The cover artwork depicting Vic selling verdicts for everybody who is asking, its not partisan to anyone in the world either.

The album rips right in with “Blackmail the Universe” and doesn’t relent until the last chord of “My Kingdom”. The world as a whole now seems to have inspired Dave to write all that he knows again. Dave is on top of his game when he writes political lyrics and rather than single any out here ill just say he makes it clear how he feels.

I have no other words to say other then this reminds me of old Megadeth. The last album before this was a return to form; this one is the truest return to it. This album is reminiscent of the first 3 Megadeth records. “The System Has Failed” is Megadeth at its best and I would personally love to welcome Dave back.
