Mastodon are back and this time they bring “Leviathan” with them. The album, like the beast it describes from the novel Moby Dick is huge. The impact of this record will last in metal and hard rock circles for years to come.

Mastodon learned a lot from their last album as evidenced by the more concise songs and stronger song structures. They also bring in the use of clean vocals making the album even stronger. The clean vocals will also open them up to an even larger fan base. They also bring in some southern rock elements and hopefully they will continue to incorporate these on there next albums.

Overall this album is a MUST have and it will be in all your top ten lists come December. They deserve for you to give this album a chance. When you give this album a chance it will knock you, off your feet.,
