Lamb of God :Ashes of the Wake
Reviewed by: Bill Steinbacher

Lamb of God is back with their new release "Ashes of the Wake” and the kinks are out! This album has everything that made "New American Gospel" and "As the Palace Burns" full out balls to the wall metal mayhem, but with a much more mature sound. The whole band just sounds much better, the instruments really seem to feed of each other and flow together better on this release. Plus the production is light years beyond both previous releases, making it much easier to listen to. "As the Palace Burns" was one of the best albums released last year, but for a lot of people it found a dusty resting place back in the case only to come out periodically, and this is mostly to blame on the poor production sound that came along with it. "Ashes of the Wake" is going to find its place in heavy rotation for any metal fan that buys this album. The only downfall to the album is the length. Like the two previous albums it is short, 11 songs long and will leaves you wanting more.
