Korn: Greatest Hits, Vol. 1
Reviewed by: Avery Salamon

After 10 years Korn have released a greatest hits album. This career retrospective is pretty thorough covering all of their albums. This band helped this writer through some tough times in HS(yes i know i am aging myself) but this album will do that to old school Korn fans.

The 2 new songs that being this record are cover songs. They are both solid covers. "Word Up" a Cameo cover comes off solid but with a Korn touch sounds heavier then Cameo probably ever expected it to be. The other is a cover of Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the wall(parts 1,2,3)". They do a great job of this cover. Jonathans angst ridden lyrics always seemed good but him singing this song makes total sense and comes off great.

The selection of songs go's from newest to oldest with one remix thrown in at the end. The album, however, is still missing album tracks that Korn has and hopefully will continue to play live.

This a great collectors item for every Korn fan and is a good way to introduce people to one of the most influential bands of recent history. This is a let down however for people looking for the album tracks. This only contains singles.
