Judas Priest: Angel of Retribution
Reviewed by: Avery Salamon

The first thing that crossed my mind last summer when the rumour mill started was Halford’s back in Priest holy S—t. I then had the privelege of seeing them at Ozzfest and it seemed like no one had missed a beat. They kept saying new album coming soon well soon has arrived at the album was well worth the wait. Welcome back Rob!! The Priest is back and the “Angel of Retribution” is our present.

The CD starts with “Judas Rising’ is similar to all things Judas. “Deal with the Devil” and “Demonizer” are also two solid tracks. Not that this record is lacking any not good tracks but it does have a couple of low moments.

“Lochness” is a 12 minute song about the Lochness monster that just plods along and you wonder why its here. They are allowed to have some songs for themselves but this seems to be a little weird. The band also continues to grow while keeping their old elements as well.

“Hellrider” is a great song showing their growth yet keeping them real to what fans expect. They write for themselves as evindenced hear and im glad they do cause it isn’t the 80’s anymore.

Judas Priest is back, “Angel of Retribution” is the album, and what should you do, BUY IT!!! Halford can still hit the high notes and KK and Glen can still write the music and together they make priest sick.
