I haven’t written a review in a long time so I figured I would try one more time. I am going to start with the MTV2 Headbangers Ball Vol. 2 on Roadrunner Records. The album has to be one of the better compilations out there. The album has 2 discs of all kinds of metal and I am not going to start putting every band into each genre that would be nuts.

Disc 1 has all the “bigger” artists from Slipknot to Probot to Shadows Fall and everything in between. This disc features new tracks by Shadows Fall, Megadeth and Lamb of God to name a few and all are strong. This disc is a good way to introduce you to the second disc, which will knock you on your ass.

Disc 2 with all the “smaller” bands to me at least packs the bigger punch. Starting with new artist on Roadrunner Cradle of Filth and including another few newer artists from their ever growing roster such as Trivium and 3 Inches of blood. Unearth(The Great Dividers) and God Forbids(Anti-Hero) tracks both from what will be in all metal heads top this year are also featured on this cd.

Overall this cd is good if you need an update in metal or a good compilation cd for your car or when people come over.
