Dropping Daylight: The Glenwood Session
Reviewed by: Avery Salamon

Dropping Daylight is the future of piano driven rock. The first comparisons might be to alt-punkers Something Corporate although similar they are not the same. This three song EP shows how a good meeting between third eye blind and Ben Folds might end up.

“Brace yourself” has a nice build up from pre-chorus to chorus. Sebastian Davins keyboard solo in ferocious (may not be the right way to describe it but hey). In “Lucy” which is a slow song Sebastian sings, “don’t forget me” now that might have been easy if the song wasn’t so infectious. “Take a Photograph,” the albums closer takes the band back to a more rock sound to end the EP.

File this CD next to Ben Folds and Billy Joel and buy it. I myself cannot wait until the full length hits stores.
