TOP 20 of the Year: (If you Don’t Like them make your own top 20)

1. Killswitch Engage: The End of Heartache
This album is KSE’s best album to date and they took their music and their genre to a whole new level.

2. God Forbid: Gone Forever
I just saw this band last night and that cements how amazing they are and how amazing this album is. When a band plays mostly “new” songs and the crowd is reacting you just know they did something right.

3. The Killers: Hot Fuss
With new “it” bands popping up left and right this band with this album takes it to a whole new level composing a solid record from start to finish.

4. Green Day: American Idiot
Their best album to date and one of the best bands out there today. An album with a storyline only this yr would two bands that are at the top of their game bring it back.

5. Atreyu: The Curse
A great way to return to the scene. This album is sick, and all the Anne Rice references only make it better. The definite kicker is on the ltd edition CD, Bon Jovi’s you give love a bad name.

6. Kanye West: The College Dropout
Bringing positive rap back to the mainstream. ‘nuff said!!

7. Lamb of God: Ashes of the Wake
It doesn’t seem like a major label move could slow this band down at all. They continue to write killer music with killer riffs.

8. Shadows Fall: The War Within
The Shads only seem to get better record by record and with this what I think is their “master of puppets” the next album is only a step away from superstardom for these boys from Boston.

9. Mastadon: Leviathan
A whale of an album pardon the pun. Any album based on a classic book better at leats be good but this album is great.

10. Cradle of Filth: Nymphetamine
Cradle again strikes back but this is their best album to date. I cant wait to hear whats gonna come now that they are on Roadrunner.

11. Marc Broussard: Carencro

12. 3 Inches of blood: Advance and Vanquish

13. Megadeth: The system has failed

14. Candiria: What Doesn’t kill you

15. Unearth: The oncoming storm

16. Slipknot: Vol 3 the subliminal verses

17. Walls of Jericho: All hail the dead

18. Bad Religion: The empire strikes first

19. Full Blown Chaos: Wake The Demons

20. The Used: In love and death
